Council of Free Students Union, Nepal has organized National inter-college volleyball tournament on Feb 4-8 in Pokhara. Minister for Education and sports Amod Prasad Upadhaya had inaugurated the program. There were 37 teams among them 25 were mans team and 12 were women's team. Coordinator of CFSU Yagjya Raj Sunuwar chaired the opening ceremony. President of ANNFSU, Rajandra Rai, Vice-President Bhakta Gurung and President of Nepal Volleyball Association Ganga Thapa delivered their speech for the success of tournament.
The whole game was based on T. T. scoring system. In men's team Nepal International Language College, Kathmandu has won the first prize. Similarly Prithivi Narayan College, Pokhara occupied the second place and R.R. College, Kathmandu had placed as third.
On the side of women's team P. K. College Kathmandu had won the first prize. Similarly Nepal Commerce College was placed as second and R.R. College has occupied the third position. Mr. Lakhnath Lamsal of P. N College able to secure the best player prize. Similarly Susmita Thapa was awarded as the best women player. The closing ceremony was held on 8th Feb 2002. Winners of this tournament were awarded by Pradip Nepal (Member of House of Representative in Parliament) with the shields medals and cash.
