Student
community is the most conscious,
reliable and advanced force
for social transformation movement.
Mobility, creativity and activity
are the identities of students
in the world. Always striving
against the status-quo position
of society, student force seems
at the forefront of social movements
in any part of the world. In
the absence of the students'
community the course of social
transformation would not be
complete.
Therefore,
to fulfil this genuine responsibility
to society, student force should
be mentally and physically sound.
Only highly educated force can
lead the society toward the
social progress and spread the
educational light in to the
backward and illiterate society.
That is why; ANNFSU has determined
its main aim, "Educational
Awareness for Social Change".
All our movements are directed
for the fulfilment of this main
aim.

MOVEMENT
FOR EDUCATIONAL

|
Education
is
key
base
for
the
national
development,
social
transformation
and
progress.
We
are
standing
on
the
complicated
ground
of
21st
century
that
characterises
the
scientific
efforts
of
man,
manifests
the
broadening
of
knowledge
and
the
acceleration
of
technological
revolution.
However,
60%
of
the
total
population
in
our
country
is
still
illiterate.
Only
limited
individuals
of
the
society
have
the
opportunity
of
education.
Because
of
anti-public
educational
policy,
most
of
the
educational
institutions
are
being
privatised
and
commercialised
with
the
direct
intervention
of
World
Bank,
International
Monetary
Fund
(IMF).
AS
a
result,
expensive
education,
inconsistencies
and
distortions
in
educational
sector
and
unemployment
are
in
the
increasing
trend.
ANNFSU
advocates
that
the
existing
neo-colonial
and
traditional
education
should
be
replaced
by
scientific,
vocational
and
people's
education.
ANNFSU
has
continuously
mobilised
the
student
force
itself
to
abolish
all
the
absurdities
seen
in
educational
field
since
its
establishment.
In
the
course
of
educational
awareness
movement,
ANNFSU
has
waved
the
flag
of
popular
slogan,
"Educational
Awareness
for
Social
Change,
Overall
Educational
Movement
for
Educational
Awareness,
A
Students-based
Large
and
Strong
Union
for
Overall
Educational
Movement".
ANNFSU
is
still
continuing
the
educational
struggle,
which
consist
of
46
demands
tabulated
to
the
government.
ANNFSU
has
been
wagging
the
student's
movement
by
different
forms
of
struggle
like
strikes,
mass
rallies,
picketing,
lockouts,
and
hunger
strike.

MOVEMENT
FOR THE SOCIO-POLITICAL
CONSCIOUSNESS: |

Sound
political
situation
is
important
factor
for
the
fulfilment
of
educational
problems.
ANNFSU
believes
only
the
people's
government
and
party
can
lead
the
development
process
in
different
sectors
of
country.
So,
ANNFSU
has
been
raising
its
flag
for
democracy,
social
justice
and
human
rights
since
its
establishment.
Nepalese
students
launched
the
ever
first
organised
struggle
in
1947
to
dethrone
the
Rana
autocracy-demanding
student's
rights
and
modern
educational
system.
As
a
result
of
tireless
struggle,
the
tyrannical
Rana
Regime
was
overthrown
in
the
year
1950
and
multi-
party
democracy
was
established.
But
in
1960
the
late
king
Mahendra
dissolved
the
elected
parliament
and
introduced
a
one
party
Panchayat
system.
Meanwhile,
ANNFSU
provided
active
leadership
to
the
movement
of
1979
against
autocratic
party
less
Panchayat
system
and
has
paid
a
decisive
role
in
1990
people's
movement
that
overthrew
the
autocratic
Panchayat
system
and
restored
the
multi-party
democracy.
Because
of
semi-feudal
and
semi-colonial
situation,
there
are
lot
of
distortions
and
inconsistencies
in
the
Nepalese
society.
Corruption,
commission,
criminalization
in
politics,
human
trafficking
etc.
have
been
the
common
events
in
Nepalese
society.
ANNFSU
has
always
opposed
these
types
evils
in
the
society.
ANNFSU
has
been
launching
its
well-organized
campaign
for
political
and
social
consciousness
since
its
establishment.

MOVEMENT
FOR NATIONALITY: |
|

|
|
Nepal
has
been
a
victim
of
foreign
domination
since
the
Sugauli
Treaty
in
1816.
Her
southern
neighbor
India
has
been
treating
her
in
such
a
way
that
the
Nepal's
independence,
sovereignty
and
territorial
integrity
are
virtually
questioned.
The
unequal
treaty
of
1950
is
still
imposed
on
Nepal
despite
Nepal's
attempts
to
review
it.
Indian
army
has
encroached
upon
the
Nepali
territory
at
Kalapani
of
Mahakali
Zone
since
1962.
ANNFSU
has
strongly
protested
the
improper
treatment
of
India
and
its
ill
intention
of
controlling
of
Nepalese
natural
resources.
We
say
the
1950
treaty
should
be
revised
as
it
is
against
Nepal's
independence,
sovereignty
and
national
interest.
The
Indian
army
should
be
removed
from
Kalapani
and
Indo-
Nepal
border
should
be
marked
on
the
basis
of
historical
evidences.
Indian
encroachment
in
places
like
Pasupati
Nagar
must
be
stopped
and
Nepal's
territory
must
be
returned
back.
In
this
way
ANNFSU
has
been
wagging
a
lifetime
struggle
against
hegemonies
in
the
favor
of
national
independence,
sovereignty
and
territorial
integrity.
Many
cadres
of
ANNFSU
have
sacrificed
their
life
on
the
movement
of
nationalism.
On
the
other
hand,
ANNFSU
has
committed
to
preserve
the
national
unity
of
the
nationalities,
languages,
religions
and
cultures
in
Nepal.
The
main
aspect
of
the
movement
being
led
by
ANNFSU
is
to
establish
the
Nepalese
nation
as
a
free,
sovereign
and
prosperous
country.
In
this
way
ANNFSU
is
always
in
the
favor
of
nationality
and
national
interest.

MOVEMENT
OF CREATIVE ACTIVITIES: |

Social
and
creative
activities
are
the
inalienable
parts
of
ANNFSU.
It
has
been
carrying
on
creative
activities
for
intellectual
and
physical
development
of
student
community.
And
the
creativity
is
also
regarded
as
basic
rights
of
the
students.
For
the
preservation
of
this
rights,
ANNFSU
often
conducts
different
program
such
as
distribution
of
relief
materials
to
the
victims
of
natural
disaster,
construction
of
the
library,
rest-house,
roads,
buildings,
organizing
the
health
camps,
literacy
campaign,
plantation,
blood
donations,
cleaning
campaign,
conducting
sport,
quiz,
poems,
essays,
story
competition,
cultural
programs,
arrange
the
study
tours,
exchange
programs,
publications
of
newsletter,
environment
campaign
etc.
These
creative
activities
are
become
major
responsibility
of
ANNFSU.
