Nepal National Free Students'
Union (ANNFSU)
is a legitimate and independent
students' organisation of all
progressive, democratic and
patriotic students of Nepal.
Founded in the year 1965, the
ANNFSU has been tirelessly struggling
for the welfare, educational
interests, rights and the prestige
of the students' community.
Likewise, the Union
has been bringing ahead the
glorious struggle for the establishment
of scientific, democratic and
purposeful educational system
to replace the existing neo-
colonial education.
In
the post democratic restoration
era, the ANNFSU has become more
popular among various walks
of life due to its revolutionary
activities and popular lines
of action. Because of the student-oriented
programs, policies and activities,
ANNFSU has been the strongest
student Union having nation-wide
organizational network with
more then five hundred thousand
members. It is the mainstream
and reliable leader of Nepalese
students' movement, which has
attained its identity as a fighter
for national sovereignty, people's
livelihood, democracy and educational
issues.

- To
wage student
struggles
for the
achievement,
promotion
and preservation
of the rights,
benefits
and prestige
of student
community.
- To
continue
the struggle
for compulsory
primary
education,
free of
cost secondary
education
and easily
accessible
higher education
system making
constitutional
guarantee
of "Education
for all"
and "Employment
For All"
policy.
- To
remain active
for the
unity of
all Nepalese
students
to oppose
privatisation
and commercialisation
of education
and cost
plus policy
adopted
by imperialist
forces.
- To
continue
struggle
against
unequal,
insulting
and traitorous
treaties
and agreement
standing
for the
national
independence,
sovereignty
and territorial
integrity.
- To
mobilise
the student's
movement
for the
eradication
of feudalism,
bureaucratic
capitalism,
expansionism
and imperialist
exploitation.
- To
take initiatives
to put the
policy of
"Education
Awareness
for Social
Transformation
" in
to action.
- To
keep support
to the movements
for disarmament,
world peace,
and justifiable
international
economic
order and
in depended
and impartial
communication
system,
opposing
and condemning
anti- people
policies
like imperialism,
hegemonies,
and armament
ad wars.
- To
preserve
and develop
the national
industries
and free
the economic
monopoly
from clutches
of a handful
of individuals.
- To
remain active
for unity
and form
united front
among the
progressive,
democratic
and patriotic
student
organisations
to provide
support
for the
unification
of leftist
forces.
- To
show solidarity
in all kinds
of movements
wagged by
the overseas
Nepalese
people for
their international
rights and
human rights
and work
for the
mutual co-operation,
development
of national
and cultural
respect
with the
migrant
Nepalese
people.
- To
strengthen
diplomatic,
friendly
and fraternal
relation
of international
level with
progressive
and democratic
youths,
students
and social
organisations.
- To
support
the national
and peoples
liberation
movements
wagged in
any part
of the countries
against
apathy,
racism,
sex discrimination
and untouchably.
